About Gemma – Skin Specialist in Romiley

Hi, I’m Gemma, founder of ClearSkin4u, a skin specialist based in Romiley helping clients feel more confident in their skin through personalised, non-invasive treatments.

I’m also a dedicated mum and step-mum to three wonderful children, and like many women I’ve spent years balancing work, family life and the challenges that come with everyday life. But my journey into skincare started long before I began training as an aesthetician.

For many years I struggled with psoriasis and facial scarring, which deeply affected my confidence. Living with problematic skin helped me understand just how much our skin can impact the way we feel about ourselves. I know how frustrating it can be to try different products and treatments without seeing the results you hoped for.

That personal experience became the driving force behind my decision to pursue a career in skincare. I wanted to truly understand skin health and help others who feel the same frustration I once did.

Today I specialise in advanced, non-invasive skin treatments designed to improve skin texture, tone and overall skin confidence without the need for dermal fillers or invasive procedures. My approach focuses on personalised treatment plans, honest advice and treatments that support long-term skin health.

My Training & Professional Development

I am committed to continually developing my knowledge so I can provide safe, effective and results-focused treatments for my clients.

I have completed my Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Skin Treatments, which included specialist training in advanced procedures such as:

Advanced Microneedling
Professional Dermaplaning
Chemical Peels
Radio Frequency

Alongside this, I have also completed training in Skin Booster treatments and taken part in an in-depth Acne Masterclass, where I studied acne-prone skin and treatment strategies to support long-term skin improvement.

I have also completed professional training with MediMD, a medical-grade skincare system designed to support advanced facial treatments and evidence-based skin rejuvenation. This training has strengthened my understanding of how to combine professional treatments with effective homecare to achieve the best possible results for clients.

To continue expanding my knowledge and stay up to date with the latest developments in skin science, I am also a member of the Skin & Kin professional community, where I regularly learn from experienced skin specialists and industry professionals.

My goal is to combine professional training with real-life experience to deliver treatments that are safe, personalised and focused on long-term skin health.
