About me 

Hi, I’m Gemma, a dedicated mum and step-mum to three wonderful children, and I’m on a mission to build a better life for my family. Balancing the demands of parenthood with my career has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. While I have worked hard to achieve my position as a Senior Research Finance Officer at The University of Manchester, a role I take great pride in, I’ve realised there’s more to life than the traditional 9-5 office job.

 

The financial struggles that many of us face in today’s society have inspired me to re-evaluate my path. My goal is to create a flexible and fulfilling career that allows me to spend more quality time with my children while pursuing something I’m truly passionate about—helping others feel confident in their skin.

 

As someone who has battled psoriasis for years, I understand how deeply skin issues can affect your confidence and mental well-being. This personal experience has driven me to become an Aesthetician and Esthetician, focusing on non-invasive treatments that deliver real, lasting results without dermal fillers. I’m currently working on completing my Level 4 qualifications in Microneedling, Chemical Skin Peels, and Dermaplaning with the next steps to be Skin Rejuvantion and Laser Hair Removal.

 

My journey hasn’t been easy. Juggling full-time work, parenthood, and intensive training has pushed me to new limits, but it’s also given me the drive to create a better future for my family. Through hard work and determination, I’m committed to breaking free from the constraints of conventional employment and building a career that aligns with my values.
